Ubisoft Putting A Full Stop To Ghost Recon Breakpoint?
Ubisoft made an announcement that they are halting the content creation for popular game Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Game attained notoriety for its highly criticized Digits NFTs from Quartz platform by Ubisoft. Content creation’s end means the end of NFTs associated with game.
Ubisoft stated that, previous 4 months marked the launch of the final piece of content, which involved Quartz products for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, myriads of latest items involving 20th anniversary iconic outfits, and brand new Operation Motherland mode.
Organization added that they will keep maintaining servers for Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and are hopeful that players will enjoy the game as they are now experiencing it.
More NFTs In Future
Ubisoft thanked users who purchased Ghost Recon Breakpoint NFT via official game website Quartz, and pledged to drop more NFTs in future.
Ubisoft said, players possessing the NFTs have inscribed their names in history. Adding that, final NFT was launched on March 17th, and more upgrades with features for platform and future drops are on the way for other games.
As per Quartz website, there are no latest NFTs there, though folks can still explore secondary markets like Rarible and Objkt. It is still not clear that players will be able to transfer Ghost Recon NFTs to future games through some method — though Ubisoft have never pledged this would be the case.
If players are not able to transfer these NFTs from one game to another, this will mean that they will get adhered to owning it for just a single game whose content creation is officially off now. This is especially sad for the ones who paid big bucks for Ghost Recon Breakpoint NFTs.
As per a report, regarding latest Ghost Recon, Quartz team of Ubisoft has remained quiet for now, but its spokesperson said that there is more to come in future regarding Ubisoft Quartz at some point in future.
Additionally, it was observed that Ubisoft Quartz is hiring for jobs associated with blockchain.
