Tyler, The Creator Tops Kendrick Lamar And Drake With His New Album

Tyler, the Creator thrilled his massive, devoted fanbase by releasing a brand new album, Don’t Tap the Glass, just months after Chromakopia, his most recent project which became a global sensation in the fall of 2024. The full-length arrived with very little warning and landed in the middle of a tracking week, but that didn’t stop it from becoming one of the biggest releases in the world. Don’t Tap the Glass opens at No. 1 on several albums charts in the United Kingdom this week.

The rapper dominates one genre-specific tally with tunes from the set, pushing his career total considerably higher thanks to his exciting new full-length.

Tyler, the Creator’s Seven New Hits

Tyler claims seven spots on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart this frame. The tally ranks the 40 bestselling tracks in hip-hop, R&B, and rap, and currently, many of them come from Don’t Tap the Glass. All seven of Tyler’s current smashes debut this week, with only a few songs from the 10-track album failing to make the cut.

“Big Poe” with Pharrell and Sk8brd Opens Inside the Top 10

Among Tyler’s seven new hits, “Big Poe” with Pharrell and Sk8brd (who is, confusingly, also Pharell) is the highest debut. That collaboration is the only top 10 from the collection, as it launches at No. 9.

Two other tracks, “Sucka Free” and “Ring Ring Ring,” open inside the top 20, landing at Nos. 15 and 16, respectively. Other new arrivals include “Stop Playing With Me,” “Mommanem,” “Don’t Tap That Glass/Tweaking,” and “Don’t You Worry, Baby.”

Nearly One-Third of All His Career Wins

Throughout his career, Tyler has now sent 24 songs to the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart. Nearly one-third of those placements are brand new this week.

Tyler dominates the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart this frame, claiming more hits than any other artist. Drake and Kendrick Lamar are currently tied for the second-most wins, with five apiece.

Several Smashes for Tyler, the Creator

Three tracks from Don’t Tap the Glass also performed well enough to appear on the Official Singles chart, which ranks the 100 biggest tracks in the country regardless of genre. Each lead artist is only allowed to occupy three spaces on that list at any one time, and Tyler reaches that number easily.

“Big Poe” nearly breaks into the top 40, opening at No. 43, while “Sugar on My Tongue” and “Sucka Free” arrive at Nos. 46 and 58, respectively.
