This episode of What’s Ahead focuses on the two main tasks facing Elon Musk with his acquisition of Twitter.
One is achieving his goal of making Twitter a true public square of free speech and open debate, something that’s lacking on all major social media platforms today.
The Media Research Center has tagged some 3,700 instances of censorship in recent years on big tech sites, almost all of it aimed at conservatives. Nearly 2,000 of these cases involved Twitter. Overturning this group-think will be a challenge.
A second undertaking is Twitter itself. The site is in bad need of change, including ridding it of its troll infestation. Twitter’s stock has been a dud since it went public back in 2013.
