Crypto analytics platform Santiment has released its latest data on developer activity within the Solana ecosystem, revealing the most actively built altcoin projects over the past 30 days.
Using GitHub metrics to score open-source contributions, the report ranks each project by its level of ongoing development work. Unsurprisingly, Solana’s native token (SOL) claims the top spot—but not by a wide margin.
The rankings reflect the same top three projects as the previous update, with no changes in position among the leaders.
Most Active Solana-Based Projects (Last 30 Days)
Below are the top altcoins in the Solana ecosystem ranked by developer activity, along with their respective scores:
- Solana (SOL) – 116.77
- Wormhole (W) – 71.53
- Pyth Network (PYTH) – 54.93
- Drift (DRIFT) – 36.60
- Helium (HNT) – 35.70
- Neon (NEON) – 34.40
- Metaplex (MPLX) – 31.23
- JTO (JTO) – 26.93
- Swarms (SWARMS) – 24.00
- Orca (ORCA) – 15.90
While SOL continues to dominate development efforts, projects like Wormhole and Pyth are not far behind, signaling growing interest and investment in building within the broader Solana ecosystem.
Why Dev Activity Matters for Crypto Projects
Developer activity is a key metric for evaluating the health and potential of blockchain projects. Higher activity often indicates active protocol upgrades, new feature rollouts, and long-term commitment by contributors.
As the Solana ecosystem expands, this leaderboard provides a useful snapshot of which altcoins are driving innovation—and which ones may be poised for growth.
