TON Network Resumes Operating After Facing Second Outage

Telegram’s TON network has resumed working after facing second outage in two consecutive days.
Telegram Wallet posted on the official TG channel that the TON network is now “fully operational” after facing another block interruption at UTC+8 this morning. The message further read, “TON-based asset withdrawals and wallet deposits will be credited in due course.”

Tonscan too, shows transactions being resumed, with transaction speed of 89.80 TPS and the current transaction count shows as 913,827,255

The message comes after TON again started experiencing disruption around 19: 19 UTC, on 28th August some hours after it resolved another disruption due to $DOGS overload that took place around 06:11:46 UTC+8 yesterday.

To resolve the issue, mainnet validators were asked to update their nodes and then restart. “In mytonctrl run: upgrade stable_testnet, If you don’t use mytonctrl manually switch node to stable_testnet branch”, the message further read. In case of multiple validators, all nodes were asked to be updated at once.

It is imperative to know that even with the disruptions, TON coin didn’t budge and is currently trading at $5.60 after seeing a surge of 5.98% in the past day. The outages were attributed to $DOGS transactions overload is currently trading at $0.001504, after seeing a jump of 20.22% in the past day.
