It’s Thursday which means it’s time to solve another Wordle. Every day, the free-to-play game from creator Josh Wardle releases a new word. You get six guesses to solve it.

Right now, the game can be found at its official website, but soon it’s heading to the New York Times to join its stable of puzzle games like the famous Crossword Puzzle and the really challenging Spelling Bee.

Wordle is simpler than those games. You have six guesses to get the five-letter word correct. Simple—but not always easy.

Okay, on to the answer for today’s Wordle! I got this one pretty fast, but I chock that up to pure luck.

Before we get to the answer, let’s start with a hint: A piece of broken glass.

So . . . I got this one fast! I’m not even sure how to describe my process here. Lots of luck?

I mean, my first word was way off base. GRIME only got me an ‘R’ and in the wrong spot. It was nice to eliminate both ‘I’ and ‘E’ though. Always good to get rid of common letters.

From here, I think coffee was on my mind because ROAST popped in there. That gave me four letters, but only one in the right spot.

Fortunately, a lot of options had been eliminated and I settled on ‘SH’ for the start of the next word, and from there . . . SHARD for the win!
