Today’s Wordle Word Of The Day #450 Hint, Answer And Clues — Monday September 12th

Well it’s Monday. Again. One more weekend on the books and now one more week of work to plough through.

To be fair, I make almost no distinction between the two. I work every day, but I don’t work all day every day. Sometimes I work quite a lot more on the weekend than during the week—it just depends.

I suppose more and more people have found themselves in similar situations thanks to the pandemic. Working from home, setting your own hours, not having to commute as much (if at all). It’s not half bad!

Today’s Wordle Answer, Hint & Clue

The Warning: You guessed it—spoiler warning! You’ve been warned!

The Hint: Everyone consumed a lot more of this over the past couple years.

The Clue: For the second day in a row, vowels outnumber consonants in this word.

The Answer:

Well, I’m pretty sure this was my worst opening guess of all time. I don’t remember even getting one with over 1,000 possible solutions remaining but here we are: A whopping 1,661 out of 2,309 left. Ouch. This is what you get when you guess quack I suppose.

Hoist narrowed the field considerably but still left me with 130. Good ol’ hoist is a great mid-game word.

But by far the best word of the bunch—and I know, I know—was boner. It was all I could think of with the ‘O’ right there that would also get me an ‘E’ which I assumed would be the second vowel. I was correct. Not only correct, but dropped 130 down to just one.

Admittedly, booze eluded me for some time. Double ‘O’ and a ‘Z’ does not an easy Wordle make! But in the end, victory!
