Today’s ‘Wordle’ Answer #290: Tuesday, April 5th Solution

Well we survived Monday. That’s something!

I spent an unhealthy amount of time playing Elden Ring, as per usual these days, but I snuck in a bit of time for Wordle as well, naturally.

Yesterday’s Wordle was a bit tougher than the last couple I’ve written about (and if you want to learn all about the word itself I wrote up a pretty hefty etymology note). Today’s is a little tricky. I’m curious to see how many people have a hard time with it.

Today’s Wordle #290 Answer & Hint

Spoiler Warning! Hint and answer ahead!

First, the hint: Babies.

And the answer is . . . .

Now, the reason I find this word sort of ironic is because some days my colleague Paul Tassi writes these Wordle guides and every time he uses the same starting word: CRANE. I always pick a different word. We each have our own approach.

Then the answer ends up being NATAL and it’s kind of ironic because Paul and his wife just had a baby a few days ago. So it’s funny the same day I use his starting word I get the most baby-related word we’ve seen yet for this game. It should have been Paul’s!

C’est la vie!

Crane turned out to be a good first guess, giving me the ‘A’ and the ‘N’ in yellow boxes. From here, Satin gave me the ‘A’ and a ‘T’ in green and I knew with 100% surety that ‘N’ had to start the word. My next guess was just the first word I thought of…Natal for the win!
