It’s Sunday and as readers of this column know, I like to pretend that I’m going to have a lazy Sunday full of lounging about doing nothing. In reality, I’m probably going to hit the gym, clean a bunch, work for a few hours and then—when everything is finished—I’ll kick it for the remains of the day.
One of my goals—along with getting in shape and losing weight and not replying to negative, toxic people on social media and in the comments—is to read more going forward. I’ve been kind of bad at it lately, probably because I’m just between books that are really hooking me.
I read The Blacktongue Thief earlier this year, which I enjoyed a great deal—though not nearly as much as Christopher Buehlman’s Between Two Fires, one of my favorite books of the last decade—and then hit a wall, starting and stopping a couple others to no avail.
I’m currently pivoting out of fantasy and science-fiction into thriller territory with a book I had never even heard of until the other day when I was reading a list of good crime fiction and came across the recommendation. The novel is Tell No One by Harlan Coben and so far I’m enjoying it, intrigued by the mystery so far, though not under any kind of spell just yet, the way a good mystery can mesmerize and bewitch you. We shall see!
What are you reading these days? I’m always looking for another good book to read!
For now, let’s do this here Wordle!
How To Solve Today’s Wordle

Today’s Wordle really continues the recent trend of fairly difficult, interesting words that we’ve been getting lately. Some are harder than others and I though this one was actually quite difficult—though Wordle Bot got it in just three again. That means I get zero points for guessing in four and -1 for losing to the villainous Bot. No huzzahs for me!
Funny thing is I started out pretty good with just 87 words left after chaos (which I’ve been thinking about due to recent gaming sessions) and then just three words left after guessing sober. Of course, all I could see were ‘S’ and ‘O’ in yellow, and that didn’t change with gusto which I was hoping would at least get me a green box!
From here, though I didn’t know it at the time, I had just one possible solution remaining. I had eliminated so many boxes for the two letters I had, putting them in spots two and three made sense. After that it still took me awhile to get to kiosk for the win. But win I did—eventually!
Have a lovely, lazy, lackadaisical Sunday, dearest Wordlers!
