Wordle, Wordle, Wordle. To Wordle or not to Wordle, that is the question. Out damned Wordle, out! All the world’s a Wordle and all the men and women merely players.
You know that William Shakespeare is credited with coining over 1,700 words still used in English to this day? Some of these include:
- Alligator
- Bedroom
- Critic
- Downstairs
- Eyeball
- Fashionable
- Gossip
- Hurry
- Lonely
- Kissing
- Obscene
- Puppy dog
- Questioning
- Manager
- Undress
- Traditional
- Skim milk
- Varied
- Rant
- Worthless
- Zany
The list goes on and on. Isn’t it remarkable? We use so many of these so frequently with no idea that a brilliant playwright who lived during the Elizabethan era (born in 1564, died in 1616) would come up with so many words. I suppose that’s the benefit of being extremely prolific and having to make everything work in iambic pentameter. You need to get those syllables and the cadence just so, and if the words you have at your disposal don’t quite work, just make up new ones!
Of course, this list does us very little good when it comes to Wordle. Out of the list above, only hurry is five letters long. Oh well, we’ll just have to use our own ingenuity.
Alright, let’s do this Wordle!
How To Solve Today’s Wordle

Well I very nearly got this in one or two, but sadly still took three (and therefore tied with Wordle Bot) despite a ridiculously strong opening guess. Chair, rather miraculously, got me down to just two possibilities. I thought of them both before guessing catch. The right answer was cache, and if I’d only been thinking of Call Of Duty and Warzone in particular I might have guessed it in two (there are weapons caches hidden in the Warzone map that are quite useful).
Oh well, three ain’t bad! That’s one point for me and zero for tying the Bot. Huzzah!
Be well, dearest Wordlers!
