Today’s Wordle #607 Hint, Clues And Answer For Thursday, February 16th

Well it snowed a bunch Tuesday into Wednesday which meant that I had to do the thankless work of shoveling my driveway. Again. The snow is so high on either side of my driveway and along the street, it’s just crazy. We got so much of the stuff in January and it’s been so cold that very little has melted. So another foot or so (12 to 15 inches) really stacks.

The cold has returned also. We had a couple of days in the upper 40s but today it’s below freezing all day. Yesterday, the high was 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Welcome to Arizona!

In any case, Valentine’s Day is behind us now (I hope you enjoyed my movie recommendations!) and this coming Monday we have President’s Day. That’s on Monday the 20th. The first ever President’s Day was celebrated on February 22nd, 1800 to celebrate the birth of America’s first president, George Washington who had died the year before. It wasn’t until 1870, however, that it was officially made a national holiday.

We’ll have to guess something presidential on the 20th.

Kind of like yesterday, today I lucked out by turning yellow boxes into green on my second guess. I was even closer today, however, despite starting with a green and two yellows yesterday. Dream got me down all the way to 51. Manic slashed that number to just one—and I was pretty sure I knew what that one was. Sure enough, magic was a winner. Do you believe in magic?

I don’t. If there was magic I wouldn’t have tied Wordle Bot today. Still, guessing in three is worth one point—huzzah!

This was actually closer than it looks. I almost typed in maids for my second guess before realizing at the last second that I’d already used ‘D’. Then I almost went with mafia (because who doesn’t love the mafia??) but I try to avoid those double letters and besides, yesterday had an ‘A’ in both the 2nd and fifth boxes. It would be a little strange to do that again.

So I chose manic and tragically magic would have been the better guess. Oh well!
