Today’s Wordle #543 Hints, Clues And Answer For Wednesday, December 14th

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Toys in every store. The last few days of school. Soon Mom and Dad will hardly be able to wait for school to start again.

We got our tree up and some lights on it, and decorations all over the house, but we still have to put up ornaments. Soon! We also watched It’s A Wonderful Life this weekend, one of my favorite holiday films. I’m working on a list of the best ones (so be sure to hit me up on Twitter and let me know which Christmas movies are the best).

All I want for Christmas is another huge hit like Wordle to write guides about in 2023! Maybe I should just make one up. Hmmmm…I’ll have to ponder.

For now, let’s solve today’s somewhat tricky Wordle, shall we?

How To Solve Today’s Wordle (With Spoilers!)

The Hint: Keyser Söze

The Clue: There’s a double-letter in this word.

The Answer:

See what I mean by tricky? Two U’s, one starting the word, three vowels total. It’s not an unusual word—quite the contrary!—but it is a bit of a challenge. Or maybe it was a breeze for you!

For my part, I think my starting guess kind of screwed me over. Wordle Bot got this one in three guesses because slate has three of the letters you need in usual. Broke, on the other hand, left me broke! Not a yellow or green box in sight!

Spain was a fun second guess mostly because Wordle Bot always marvels over my vocabulary as though the name of a super well-known European country makes me a genius or something. It did the trick, though, lowering the 525 remaining possible solutions broke left me with down to just 7.

I actually took my time on hasty, ironically, and good thing, too. It left me with just one guess. One of the Usual Suspects, as it were. That’s a pretty good movie, by the way, though anything with Kevin Spacey in it is a little icky now. Though, to be fair, movies like Seven and American Beauty were already kind of icky.
