Today’s Wordle #530 Hints, Clues And Answer For Thursday, December 1st

December has arrived at last! This year feels like it’s gone by super fast; when I look back a year ago it feels like a lifetime ago.

Much change will do that. And for all of us, the last nearly three years have been a time of radical, often painful, upheaval.

As we approach 2023, we’re also approaching the time we first began hearing bits and pieces about a mysterious new illness coming out of China. A new virus. Probably nothing to worry about—until suddenly it was. People were dying in Italy now. Someone had it in Seattle.

We had a trip booked to Mexico the week before they shut down schools—and we left early to get back into the United States before the border closed, which happened a couple days later.

But in December of 2019, life was good. We were all blissfully aware of what was coming and the myriad ways it would change the world. I think 2023 is going to be a new—and better—chapter.

The Hint: Useful when enemy aircraft has gotten the better of you.

The Clue: This word has a double vowel in it.

The Answer:

Today, I just kept trying and trying to find the green boxes for my first two correct letters: ‘T’ and ‘E’ which I got with timed in my first guess.

My second guess, stare, and my third guess, lefty, both moved these two letters around again and again and yet each time: Yellow.

Still, at this point there were only so many options left and I narrowed my potential answers down to just two that I could think of: event and eject. I went with the word I thought was more fun and, much to my delight, got the win! Huzzah!

Making this success story even more delightful is the fact that Wordle Bot took a whopping five guesses to get his Wordle. He guessed slate / titer / depot / event / eject. Ha! Silly robot! Tricks are for kids!
