Here we are again—another Thursday, another Wordle to solve.
The viral word-puzzle game that the New York Times bought from Josh Wardle for a “low seven-figure sum’ has maintained steam through the first half of 2022, though there are signs that the game is slowing (time to unleash six-letter words, NYTs!)
This has been an interesting week for Wordle. After they removed the word ‘fetus’ from the answer list (because apparently we’re not too sensitive to read articles about Roe v Wade and the Supreme Court, but merely seeing a word in a puzzle game will trigger us into oblivion) there was a divergence in correct answers. For two days, players were getting different Wordles, leading to much confusion.
Frankly, I think they should have just left the entire answer list—obscure and “offensive” words included—the way it was to begin with. The occasional weird, antiquated word can be fun and educational. The occasional off-color word can be funny (unless you’re seeking out offense at every turn and can no longer find humor in life’s messiness).
But enough editorializing! Let’s take a look at today’s Wordle.
Today’s Wordle #327 Hint & Answer
Spoilers ahead! Watch out for the spoilers! Don’t let those mean ol’ spoilers get you!
But first, a hint:
The hammock was [ ] between two trees.
And the answer is . . . .
I’m really curious to see how difficult this one is for people. It took me a while to figure it out, and I realized after there’s still one other possibility I could have guessed instead of slung that would have gotten me four greens (clung). Meanwhile, there are actually a ton of words with lun out there that I could have guessed instead, like plunk (if I hadn’t gotten the ‘P’ already) or clunk and so forth.
Plane was actually a better guess than crane even if Wordle Bot says otherwise. Wordle Bot also told me I should have guessed gifts for my second guess and slung—the actual answer—for my third. No kidding, Wordle Bot? Guessing the correct answer would have been better? Crazy!
In any case, I hope you have a stellar Thursday my dearest Wordlers! Consider following me on this blog! I’d appreciate it! And you can always find me on Twitter or Facebook. Take care!
