Today’s Wordle #224 Answer: Saturday, January 29th Solution

Another day, another Wordle. A whole weekend of Wordles!

Saturday is here at last, and for those of us lucky enough not to work weekends, we can languish and approach today’s word puzzle lackadaisically (well, I work weekends, actually but when you love what you do it isn’t really work right?)

First, for the uninitiated, here are a couple links to get you started:

The top link explains the game’s origins, virality and—most importantly—how to play.

The second link is a handful of tips to help you play better, and never miss a word! You can watch my video version of the tips piece below:

Okay, now that that’s out of the way, let’s look at today’s Wordle #224. I’m honestly not sure how to give you a hint for this one without spoiling it, so no hints from me today (sorry, that’s a first!)

The answer is below so this is your SPOILER WARNING.

You’ve been warned! The answer is below so only read on if you want the answer!

Today’s Wordle #224 Answer—Saturday, January 29th

Another one where I got absolutely zero yellow letters, which is always a bit surprising. I went with ‘TIRED’ because I’m an open book and I’m just tired right now. Tired of all the nonsense. Tired—and weary—to the bone!

After that, quite a few common letters including two vowels were out, so I just thought of words that ended with ‘D’ and didn’t have an ‘I’ or an ‘E’ and came up with ‘NOMAD.’

With the ‘O’ in the right spot, I was feeling kind of lost and more than a little worried. Most words that end with ‘D’ end with ‘ED’ but that wasn’t an option. I finally thought of ‘MOULD’ once I started putting the ‘U’ in there, and from there the only word I could think of was the right one: ‘COULD.’

I could have been wrong, but I wasn’t. I could’ve been a contender—and I was! A win in 4 guesses!

Thanks for reading, my fellow Wordlers! Hope you have a terrific weekend!
