It’s been a rather lovely month so far, and things are about to get even nicer. The rainy weather we’ve had lately has made me want to stay indoors, staring out my window at the blossoming chokecherry trees which sit in my front yard like low-hanging pink clouds. If only I could keep them in bloom all year long.

It’s good weather for puzzle-solving, that’s for sure. Let’s knock out this Mini Crossword.

The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

This one was a bit tricky at first, but once I moved down to “Some spouses” and the Bill and Ted reference things started to come into place. This one took me 1:31.
