Another day, another Wordle.

The viral puzzle game has certainly lost a chunk of its steam since February’s peak, but it’s still going relatively strong and I’m still here writing this daily column to help you along the way.

Today’s Wordle is a bit of a trickier one than we’ve seen the last few days, so buckle up and let’s take a look.

How Wordle Works

Wordle is a game that’s simple to learn and play.

When you guess a word, letters that are correct will show up in green boxes if they’re in the right spot and yellow boxes if they’re in the wrong spot. Incorrect letters are greyed out in the alphabet below. By guessing and rearranging letters, you can puzzle out the correct answer. Below are some links to help you with your Wordling.

And the answer is . . . .

Er…this is one of those words, isn’t it? Especially if you guess the ‘ER’ at the end on your first guess—which I did with tamer—it just leaves so many possibilities.

I decided when I finished this Wordle to not even check in with Wordle Bot. I know what he’ll say. I should have guessed words that didn’t include ‘ER’ at the end to rule out more letters rather than keep taking pot-shots at the answer.

Oh well. This was not my finest Wordle moment as I was admittedly in a bit of a hurry trying to finish it on the way to a little social gathering. But I got it in the end with liver which, if you’ve ever been to a social gathering, is a fitting enough word.
