Rap God Eminem and Doggfather Snoop Dogg have shed their magic again. This time using the BAYC as the theme during the MTV Video Music Awards 2022. Both the rappers performed their latest song ‘From the D 2 the LBC’ in the event.
From YouTube to MTV
The video starts with Eminem and Snoop Dogg sitting on a couch, where the Doggfather is enjoying a huge blunt. The video then shifts to a real world to a virtual world, transmitting their avatars to a whole new realm. Their digital characters soon transform into BAYC characters owned by the rappers.
The video also showcases a massive MTV logo into the virtual world, where the Rap God and Doggfather performs for the virtual audience. The scene then shifts to a new perspective where both the rappers are seen performing on a pinball machine. The video also focuses on the Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse.
The rappers perform on a virtual tower in the background giving a glimpse through a bird’s eye view. The scene then shifts to a virtual place which was portrayed during the official trailer of the Otherside metaverse. The trailer showed a Bored Ape character sitting outside a log cabin where he drinks a potion that causes hallucinations.
The video also portrayed mammoth Meebits character which was unveiled during a demo gameplay of Bored Ape metaverse. Video finally takes the viewers back to a virtual concert and ends with Eminem coming back to reality. The Rap God asks that this is MTV? Both go on to perform in front of the audience for the rest of the show.
This event shows that the BAYC is the only NFT collection getting massive popularity across the globe. The upcoming Otherside metaverse has also spread a wave of excitement among the community. The land plots in this virtual world are called the Otherdeeds, which the users can acquire through the biggest NFT marketplace, OpenSea.
