The Four Young Pearls FC Barcelona Are Tracking

Not content with already boasting the likes of Pedri, Ansu Fati and Gavi on their books to name a few, FC Barcelona are reportedly tracking a quartet of youngsters to sign in the near future.

These have been reported and defined by Mundo Deportivo on Friday, currently ply their trade in places as far and wide as Portugal and Bulgaria from Western to Eastern Europe, and are as follows.

Cher Ndour & Henrique Araujo (Benfica)

Italian with Sengalese roots, 17-year-old, imposing 1.90m-tall midfielder Ched Ndour was a standout player in this season’s UEFA Youth League .

With a contract running until 2023, he could be snatched away by Barca at the turn of the year if not agreeing new terms and has been monitored by the club for some time with good scouting reports.

Older at 20, Araujo is a striker who excelled in said competition with a hat trick against Salzburg, and is being tracked by Premier
PINC
League giants Mancester City and Liverpool in addition to the Blaugrana.

Of the four players, he is the least likely to soon arrive at Camp Nou as a member of the home team while tied down until 2024. Benfica have no intention of letting him go, and Barca are also unwilling to make a big invenstment, it is said.

Trilli (Deportivo La Coruna)

The 18-year-old right back at Deportivo could provide support to Sergino Dest and Daniel Alves, and though he isn’t a free man until 2024, a meagre release clause of €5mn ($5.3mn) shouldn’t deter a cash-strapped Barca.

Trilli stands out for his height, positioning and speed and has been followed by the club all season. According to MD, the youngster featured highly on their shortlist until an injury derailed his progress, though he has returned to training this week.

Martin Georgiev (Slavia Sofia)

Negotiations for the 16-year-old central defender are already advanced according to Catalonia’s lead sporting publications, with his club’s president Ventsislav Stefanov noting this too.

Already starring for Slavia Sofia’s first team, Georgiev is considered one of Bulgarian football’s emerging talents and would look to emulate the great Hristo Stoichkov if his dream move comes off.

Last weekend, Barca representitives already flew out to take a look at him themselves.
