The current extended season of Fortnite is about to end, with Chapter 4, Season 2 just around the corner. Leaks and rumors all point to a Japanese-themed season, with Neo Tokyo as a new Named Location, as well as the return of Lucky Landing in a brand new form.
The Battle Pass skins have also leaked, revealing the “secret” skin as Attack On Titan protagonist Eren Yeager. It appears that the popular anime will be getting some kind of big Fortnite crossover in Season 2, along with appearances from Resident Evil, Star Wars and more.
Leakers also suggest that first-person mode will arrive in Season 2, though again we have no official confirmation of this at this time.
Now, the first teasers for Season 2 have leaked online (Epic Games has not posted these at the time of writing but could at any moment). Via data-miner Hypex, these two images have now surfaced:

These lend further credence to the many, many leaks and rumors suggesting this will be an anime/Japan-themed season. It appears the new season will be called MEGA and all the hashtags around it will be things like #FortniteMEGA and #GoToMEGA and so forth.
No doubt, the new season will continue the rather obscure and confounding narrative that’s been going on for the past few seasons—one that I have given up trying to follow, truth be told. Various factions continue to do battle over the island. What really matters is being the last one standing at the end of a match.
