The ‘Deadpool 3’ Cameo Rumors Have Fully Gone Insane

Ever since Marvel opened up the “Multiverse” for business, the fanbase has gone nuts trying to figure out which characters from other universes would show up in certain films or shows.

The main movies focused on were Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the end, there were indeed some cameos, albeit only a fraction of what had been rumored and predicted.

Now? The multiverse rumors are centered on Deadpool 3, which looks to be a more satirical take on the multiverse, given its lead. And we’ve already kicked things off with the knowledge that Hugh Jackman is co-starring as yellow suit Wolverine. Past him, though? Things are starting to get insane. In the past couple weeks alone, here are all the rumors of cameos I’ve seen for Deadpool 3 from various sources that are mostly from places like comicbooksuperstars.com and other uh, questionable originators. But these really have to be seen to be believed. And hey, maybe 5% of them will actually happen:

• An older Dafne Keen will return as Laura Kinney/X-23 from Logan, despite the fact that in theory she shouldn’t even be born yet with this version of Wolverine.
• Ian McKellen will return as Magneto as the film explores Earth-838, in disarray after the events of Multiverse of Madness.
• Elizabeth Olsen will appear as Scarlet Witch who will have a father-daughter relationship with McKellen’s Magneto, based on their comic legacy.
• Channing Tatum will appear as Gambit in his full purple armor and trenchcoat outfit, a nod to his Gambit project he never got off the ground.

• Halle Berry and Famke Janssen will show up as Storm and Jean, based on some rumor that their assistants have been added to the Deadpool 3 crew list.
• There will be a Loki variant in Deadpool 3, but not the “bad” one from the Loki show.
• Emma Corrin (who has actually been cast as an unnamed villain) will be playing Cassandra Nova, Charles Xavier’s evil twin.
• Julian McMahon will return as Doctor Doom.
• Brian Cox will return as William Stryker.
• Taron Egerton will show up as a different variant of Wolverine after rumors he wanted to land the role for the new MCU version of the X-Men.

• Finally, Taylor Swift will appear as the X-Men member Dazzler. This may sound like the most ridiculous one, but it may actually be the least ridiculous one, given that Taylor is best friends with Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. You know, Deadpool. She even wore his actual Deadpool suit for Halloween one year. So uh, yeah, maybe.

As you can see this list is… mostly insane. I could maybe one or two of these panning out. I am curious about this idea that Deadpool 3 could take place in 838 in the dystopian aftermath of Scarlet Witch slaughtering the original Illuminati over there during Multiverse of Madness. Again no idea if that’s true, but that could be fun. Though I doubt Olsen herself is in this.

One attached rumor to all of this is that instead of just being a cameo in Avengers: Secret Wars, Hugh Jackman is pitching Kevin Feige that Wolverine should be a main character in the story. So, rumors on rumors.

Again, practically all of these are probably nonsense. But hey, maybe 7% of the Multiverse and Spider-Man rumors did pan out, so who knows. We’ll know down the road.
