After three weeks of strategic gameplay, alliances and betrayals, the second installment of Squid Game: The Challenge is close to crowning its winner. Which contestant will become $4.56 million richer? Keep reading to find out the exact time to watch grand finale and who’s in the final five.

The reality game show, based on the hit South Korean series Squid Game, returned for its second season in early November. A whopping 456 players from around the world entered the games to compete for the $4.56 million prize, but with each episode, the number dwindled until only five remained.

Along the way, contestants lived together in a giant dormitory and faced brutal challenges like The Count, Six-Legged Pentathlon, Catch Mingle, Marbles, Slides and Ladders and Circle of Trust. Families and friends were split up, alliances were formed and players were forced to turn on one another — all while the piggy bank grew with cash each time someone was eliminated.

Netflix gave fans a sneak peek at the dramatic finale with a 51-second trailer that dropped on Nov. 14. In the teaser, the five remaining contestants, dressed in the iconic black tuxes, eat their final meals and determine who will play in the final round.

The players will have to endure one more grueling childhood game, although the type of game hasn’t been revealed yet. Tudum hinted that the last episode will bring “more twists, turns, and even a chillingly familiar doll will keep everybody on their toes.”

What Time Is The Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 Finale?

The Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 finale airs on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Netflix.

Who Are The Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 Finalists?

Tonight’s finale will see five players compete for the grand prize, which is one of the highest in game show history: Vanessa (Player 17), Perla (Player 72), Steven (Player 183), Dajah (Player 302) and Trinity (Player 398).

Steven (Player 183)

Steven is a professional poker player who has already won millions of dollars. He finished second in the 2023 World Series of Poker Main Event, taking home $6.5 million, nearly $2 million more than the Squid Game cash prize.

Steven told Netflix’s Tudum that he wanted to enter the game show because of “competition and more money… because more money is always better, right?”

In a surprise twist, Steven originally wanted to be on the streamer’s popular dating show, Love is Blind, to find a love. However, after he applied, he received an email that the streamer was also casting for Squid Game: The Challenge. “I was like, ‘Screw it. I’m here. I’ll apply for this, too,’” he said.

What are Steven’s plans for the prize money? Steven told Netflix that he wants to “invest some, help some family members out, buy another house, and donate a portion to the Boys & Girls Club in Scottsdale.”

Vanessa (Player 17)

Vanessa works as a lobster fisher, and she’s the only woman lobster fisher in her harbor. “I am a blue-collar, salt-of-the-earth, hardworking woman in a completely male-dominated industry,” she told Tudum. “I am used to people not exactly loving me at first, but they do warm right up to me once they get to know me.”

The Canadian native formed close bonds early in the game with players who were ultimately eliminated. This forced her to pivot, so she went under the radar for most of the competition and slipped into the final five.

“I lost everyone in that game, so my strategy went out the nonexistent dorm windows,” she said. “I just had to restart. I kind of played a lone wolf game after that, and it helped me because I think people weren’t looking at me since they thought I was alone.”

What are Vanessa’s plans for the prize money? Vanessa dreams of owning her own boat and running her own show on the open sea, as buying a vessel, licenses, and gear could cost almost $2.5 million.

“I get worked up and emotional fantasizing about that becoming a reality,” she added. “If I am being completely honest, this dream can only become reality by winning, so trust me when I say I am motivated.”

Perla (Player 72)

Perla works as a model and is represented by STORM LA, according to her Instagram. She entered the competition with her brother Jeffrey (Player 283). The pair stayed under the radar at first, as attention was focused on other sibling or parent-child duos.

During the marbles game, her brother sacrificed himself so she could continue in the competition. “My brother is the calm that I need sometimes, so when he left, I was really scared that I wasn’t going to hold it together,” she told Netflix.

Reflecting on the game so far, she was proud of staying true to her authentic self. “I’m getting a lot of love from the Bronx, Dominicans, Black women, and people supporting me because they know what it’s like to feel things very deeply,” she said in her final five interview.

What are Perla’s plans for the prize money? Perla revealed to Netflix that if she wins the massive prize, she has to pay off her credit card debt first. Second, she wants to get her mom, her brother and herself home security. “I do also want to make my mom’s dream of going to India a reality,” she added.

Dejah (Player 302)

In a confessional, Dajah revealed to viewers she was a former detective, but kept her law enforcement background secret from the other players. She previously worked for the sheriff’s office in Columbus County, North Carolina, according to The News Reporter.

Dejah credits her police background for her ability to read people and her perception skills, which viewers witnessed firsthand during the Circle of Trust. “I’m that girl when it comes to reading and clocking,” she told Tudum. “I’ve had tons of interviews with suspects, witnesses, and victims, so I pick up on body language well. To me, it’s easy.”

Her strategy throughout the game was to lie low, but not too low. Season 1 winner Mai Whelan was a huge influence on her. “I didn’t want to let anyone know that I was in law enforcement [because] they’ll think I’m a big threat. I told people I was in real estate.”

What are Dejah’s plans for the prize money? If she can win it all, Dejah told Tudum that she wants to use the prize money to give her son “the childhood I never had and travel the world!”

Trinity (Player 398)

Trinity is a former college tennis player and is the founder of Recharge Missions, a non-profit organization that aims to uplift and empower the next generation through the arts, according to its website.

Throughout the game, Trinity told Netflix that his strategy was to lowkey make a lot of friends, “so if somebody talked about me in another group, I had a friend there to defend my name,” he explained. As the number of players declined, he said he could read people better.

“You can pick on people’s ticks very easily. Whether they smile, frown, or put their hand over their mouth, that means they’re hiding a secret when we’re in high-stress situations,” he added. “When you read people, it becomes very easy. The hard part is games left up to chance, like Slides and Ladders.”

What are Trinity’s plans for the prize money? The former athlete told Netflix that the $4.56 million prize would help his nonprofit and help him relocate his mom to Kansas City. “Then [I can] set my future family up so they don’t have to go through what I went through when I was younger,” he continued.
