As 2025 wraps up, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and other streamers are closing out the year with an anticipated lineup of new and returning TV shows. From the Stranger Things Season 5 finale to the return of Fallout and Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, read on for the best TV series to stream in December 2025.

Netflix’s new Western drama The Abandons kicks off in December, introducing a new bitter rivalry between the wealthy Van Ness family and the Abandons, a group of orphans. “This first chapter of The Abandons is a classic American story — the frontier, two families both at war and in love with each other, [and] a battle over who owns the land and who makes the rules,” executive producer Christopher Keyser teased to Tudum.

Also coming to Netflix is the fifth season of Emily in Paris, where Emily continues her adventures in Rome with her new Italian love interest. While the fourth season was released in two parts, the next installment will be released all at once on the streamer on Thursday, Dec. 18.

Stranger Things fans also won’t want to miss the final episodes of Season 5, also premiering this month. Volume 2 will be released on Christmas Day, while the Finale will be streaming on New Year’s Eve, marking an epic conclusion to the decade-long series set in Hawkins, Indiana.

Fans of the video game Fallout should mark their calendars for Dec. 17, when the second season of the post-apocalyptic series arrives on Prime Video. Set in the wasteland of post-nuclear America, the next chapter will follow its characters as they travel to New Vegas, a major location from the video game franchise.

Two crimes, a devastating secret, star-crossed love, and a piece of land sitting over a silver lode link the families together.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians (Season 2)

Premiere date: Dec. 10, 2025

Where to stream: Disney+

Synopsis: The second season of Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians returns on Dec. 10. Based on the second book in Rick Riordan’s best-selling fantasy series, the new season follows Percy as he returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world “turned upside down.” His friendship with Annabeth is changing. He discovers he has a cyclops for a brother. Grover has also gone missing, and the camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos.

Man vs. Baby (Season 1)

Premiere date: Dec. 11, 2025

Synopsis: The follow-up to 2022’s Man vs Bee, Rowan Atkinson returns as Trevor Bingley, who has left housesitting and is now a school caretaker. However, his plans change after he’s offered to look over a luxurious London penthouse of Christmas. “But on the last day of term, when no one comes to collect the Baby Jesus from the school nativity, Trevor finds himself with another undersized and very unexpected companion,” the synopsis reads.

Fallout (Season 2)

Emily in Paris (Season 5)

Synopsis: The fifth season of Netflix’s hit series will see Emily Cooper take on Italy and Venice after sparking a romance with Marcello, the wealthy Roman heir to a cashmere company. He was the kid who was taken in Season 1, so it felt right for the story to come full circle,” co-creator Ross Duffer told Netflix’s Tudum. “If anyone [was] going to be the key to ending Vecna, it needed to be Will.”
