The Best New TV Shows On Netflix, Prime Video And More In July 2025

If you’re looking for your next July binge, streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Paramount+ and more are serving up a mix of new and returning releases. From the third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty to the highly anticipated Dexter spinoff, here are some titles to keep an eye on this month.

Kicking off July is the second season of The Sandman, which will unfortunately also serve as the final installment on Netflix. The series, which first premiered in August 2022, is an adaptation of the DC Comics series of the same name. Season 2 will be released in three volumes over the course of the month.

Also coming to Netflix is Season 1 of Lena Dunham’s new British series Too Much, as well as the streamer’s one-of-a-kind singing competition series, Building the Band. The show features singers vying for a chance to form the next biggest music group without ever seeing the other members of their group.

Dexter universe fans, mark your calendars for July 11 — the premiere of Dexter: Resurrection on Paramount+ with Showtime. Although you may have thought the serial killer was dead after New Blood, he’s actually very much alive. In fact, he’s preparing to follow his son (the very person who shot him) to New York City to make things right.

And finally, summer wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Cousins Beach. The third (and final) season of Prime Video’s acclaimed romance drama The Summer I Turned Pretty returns on July 16. Will Belly choose to keep her romance with Jeremiah going, or will Conrad find his way back to her heart — perhaps where he’s been all along?
