Tears Of The Kingdom’ — How To Get Infinite Items With The Item Duplication Glitch

I’m not fan of cheating in multiplayer games and look with scorn and derision upon anyone who “competes” by wall-hacking or using an aim-bot in competitive shooters and the like. But cheats, glitches and exploits are part of the fun when it comes to single-player games (if that’s your cup of tea) and there’s a whopper of a glitch in The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.

Nintendo’s latest Link adventure is another massive open world filled with loot to discover, consumables to scarf down and various items and other treasures. TotK players have discovered an easy and risk-free way of duplicating nearly all of these items and the really fun part is that you can do it as many times as you want. Need more star fragments? Rare gems? Or maybe just another apple or steak? Here’s how to duplicate as many as your heart desires. You’ll need the Fuse skill which you gain very early in the game to make this work.

Here’s how it’s done:

Step 1: Equip your bow.

Step 2: Press up on the d-pad and attach the item you want to duplicate to an arrow using Fuse.

Step 3: Open your inventory (press the start button).

Step 4: Drop the equipped bow.

Step 5: Equip a new bow.

Step 6: Press start two times really fast which will close and then re-open the menu.

Step 7: Drop the second bow.

Step 8: Close the inventory screen.

Step 9: Pick up both of the bows.

Step 10: Profit—by selling some of those diamonds for 500 rupees each! (Or whatever you do with your ill-gotten booty).

This should result in a fast, easy duplication of any item. If it doesn’t work, try again and make sure you press start fast enough. Doing it quickly is key to making this trick work.

The only trick here is that Nintendo will almost certainly patch this out of existence, so act quickly before an update makes this fun little trick a thing of the past. Good luck and remember: Monsters drool but Link Hyrules! (Sorry, dad joke. My bad).
