Taylor Swift Ties Ariana Grande With Her Latest Radio Smash

Taylor Swift makes history on Billboard’s Radio Songs chart this week as her latest single “Lavender Haze” ascends from No. 11 to No. 10 on the chart ranks the tracks that reach the largest audience at radio in the U.S. every tracking frame. This latest win marks Swift’s seventeenth top 10 smash on the tally. As the cut climbs, she advances once again on an important historic ranking, tying one of her most successful contemporaries.

Billboard notes that with a seventeenth hit now included in her chart history, Swift ties with two other popular women for the fourth-most placements inside the top 10 on the Radio Songs chart among female musicians. Thanks to the forward surge enjoyed by “Lavender Haze” this week, Swift is now on the same level as both Pink and Ariana Grande, who have similarly managed 17 top 10 radio winners.

Leading the way among all artists–male or female–is Rihanna. The superstar and Super Bowl halftime show headliner has thus far accrued 30 top 10 hits on the Radio Songs chart. Coming in behind Rihanna among only women is Mariah Carey, who has collected 24 top 10s on the Radio Songs chart. In third place is Beyoncé, with 19.

Looking at all artists, Swift is now in tenth place with several other acts, including Jay-Z, Usher, T-Pain, and Ludacris. Ahead of her are fellow musicians and groups such as Drake (24), Justin Bieber (21), Lil Wayne (20), and Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, and Maroon 5, with 18 appearances inside the top 10 on the Radio Songs chart each.

Included in her roundup of 17 top 10s are seven No. 1 smashes. Swift has placed a total of 46 tracks onto the entire Radio Songs chart throughout her years as a hitmaker.
