The presidents of 9 countries officially support Ukraine joining the The North Atlantic Treaty Organization. According to the joint statement of the presidents of central and eastern European NATO member states. “We firmly stand behind the 2008 Bucharest NATO Summit decision concerning Ukraine’s future membership,” read the group’s statement, which was signed by the presidents of Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Slovakia. “We support Ukraine in its defense against Russia’s invasion, demand Russia to immediately withdraw from all the occupied territories and encourage all Allies to substantially increase their military aid to Ukraine.”
Nearly 4.2 million refugees from Ukraine registered for Temporary Protection or similar national protection schemes in Europe, according to the statistics of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). During the day, the Russian Armed forces saw about 500 of its servicemen killed on the battlefield––no statistics on the wounded. According to official data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian army has eliminated more than 60,000 members of the Russian military and wounded an untold number. Russian forces continue to focus their efforts on attempts to occupy the Donetsk region, hold captured territories, and disrupt the actions of the Ukrainian defense forces in certain directions. The Russians are shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the contact line and conducting aerial reconnaissance.
Donetsk region. The National Police of Ukraine documented 32 war crimes committed by Russia in the eastern part of Ukraine. The Russian army is targeting homes and infrastructure. With the help of the police, 151 more people were evacuated. Since the beginning of mandatory evacuation, more than 20,700 people have been evacuated. Among them 3,363 were children and 997 were people with disabilities.
In the Mykolaiv, the Russian Army launched an attack with seven “Shahed-136” kamikaze drones. At night, the city of Mykolaiv was subjected to missile fire by S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. “In particular, hits were recorded near two four-story buildings. As a result, houses were damaged. A hit was also recorded near the territory of the hospital. A total of seven people were injured as a result of the shelling,” said Vitalii Kim, the governor of the mykolaiv region. Also, as a result of the Russian shelling of the village Shevchenko, two people died and a residential building was partially destroyed.
