Some of these Week 3 games are must-watch contests between potential Super Bowl contenders. Read on for a look at some of Sunday’s most notable matchups and their betting lines.
The latest chapter of the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots rivalry will play out in Week 3. These longtime AFC powerhouses often tend engage in thrilling bouts when they share the field. Both sides will be desperate to get above .500 in one of the more evenly matched games of the day, but oddsmakers are giving a slight 2.5-point edge to the visiting Ravens in this one.
The Kansas City Chiefs will also attempt to remain unbeaten during a visit to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. While Indy has is off to a tepid 0-1-1 start, the club has the talent to keep this Week 3 game competitive. The Chiefs are still one of the teams to beat in the AFC, however, and are 5.5-point road chalk in Week 3.
The surprisingly competitive NFC East will also see its first divisional clash of the 2022 NFL season occur early on Sunday. The Washington Commanders—who are off to a 1-1 start after falling to the Detroit Lions last week—are playing host to the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles look like one of the best teams in the conference after making some key offseason pickups and are projected to remain unblemished in Week 3, going off as 6.5-point road favorites in this contest.
As great as some of these games have the chance to be, the late-afternoon window could feature some of the very best matchups of Week 3.
Every team in the NFC West is currently 1-1, giving extra importance to the upcoming game between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams. These squads last met in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs, a matchup that the Rams thrashed their divisional rival in. Arizona will try to avenge that embarrassing defeat but is facing an uphill battle as 3.5-point home underdogs to the defending Super Bowl champs.
The marquee game of Week 3 will also take place in the late-afternoon timeslot, one that could be a potential preview of this year’s NFC Championship Game. All eyes will be on the Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they square off at Raymond James Stadium later today. This could be the final regular season meeting between future Hall of Famers Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady as they look to state their championship case early in the 2022 NFL season
Sunday’s schedule will come to an end with a primetime showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos.
Both teams have had their fair share of disappointment already, as San Francisco lost starting QB Trey Lance for the year to injury and the Broncos are off to an abysmal start on the offensive end despite acquiring superstar signal-caller Russell Wilson in the offseason. Oddsmakers have installed the Jimmy Garoppolo-led Niners as a narrow 1.5-point favorite in this Sunday Night Football game.
