The highly anticipated launch of Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starship—which plans to take passengers to the moon and Mars—was scrapped Monday after a pressurization problem.
Musk told his Twitter followers that a pressurant valve appeared to be frozen and that was the cause of the delay.
It will be a minimum of 48 hours until the team can again attempt a launch of the world’s largest rocket.
After it became clear the launch would not happen Monday, the SpaceX team transitioned to wet-dress rehearsal, where the team wets the propellant tanks and loads propellant into the system, which exercises the system and procedures for the real launch.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
