Sorry Folks! Apple Won’t reveal AR/VR Headsets.

AR/VR Headsets

  • Apple will not reveal its much-awaited AR/VR headsets at the organization’s WWDC event this year.
  • AR is the technology where images are superimposed in physical world settings, and VR is an entirely computer-generated environment.
  • This year, RealityOS in the App Store hinted toward the AR/VR headsets, linking to a rumor that Apple is developing an MR headset.

Apple’s AR/VR Headsets Delayed

This will be a bit disappointing for the Apple fans who are waiting for the organization to reveal its much anticipated AR/VR headsets. Still, it will not happen as expected in the WWDC 2022 event.

An analyst anticipated this in a Tweet on Tuesday.

As per some reports and rumors, Apple was going to launch the headsets in May, and the board of Apple reportedly saw a demo of the AR/VR headsets this month.

Though Apple has displayed the hardware at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), Kuo stated that it would take a while before the headsets are produced in bulk, so he is skeptical.

Earlier in 2022, a handful of devs discovered references to RealityOS, a platform spotted on Apple’s App Store logs. This hinted toward the rumors floating regarding the organization working on a Mixed Reality headset.

‘RealityOS’ Confirmed The Arrival Of Apple Hardware

But ‘RealityOS’ at least confirmed that Apple is indeed working on AR and Vr tech, and will launch soon.

An unknown organization dubbed Realityo Systems LLC has registered a ‘RealityOS’ trademark with (USPTO).

The trademark was filed for categories like software, peripherals, and, most essentially, wearable computer hardware.

A few users on Twitter noticed that the same organization had filed a trademark for “RealityOS” in nations like Uruguay and Uganda. 9to5mac openly confirmed that Realityo Systems LLC registered the application in Brazil the previous December.

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are considered to be the major keys to the metaverse as we know it. These techs will allow the users to visit the digital realm while sitting in their homes.

Metaverse too is becoming a big deal among the general public and the important people all across the globe. Recently, David Beckham, one of the greatest footballers of all time, stepped into the metaverse by announcing that he would be the brand ambassador of DigitalBits.
