Harry Kane’s move to Manchester City might have ended in tears for the England international last season, there is likely going to be another summer of interest from elsewhere to prize him away from North London.
At 28 years of age, Kane knows that he is in his prime years, where if he is to be remembered as a world’s great, he needs to start winning trophies. He recognised that last summer and pushed as hard as he could for a move to the Etihad, but Daniel Levy, the chairman of Spurs, stayed resolute and kept his star striker in the building.

That ship has likely sailed for Kane at Man City, given the rumours circulating around Erling Haaland and how it is likely the Norwegian international will be moving on from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
However, there is another club in Manchester that will be vying for a world-class centre forward this summer: the Red Devils. No matter who the permanent manager will be come next season at Old Trafford, they are going to want to have Kane in the building, leading the line.

Whether it is current Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag or former manager of Kane, Mauricio Pochettino, they would both have an asset in Kane that can deliver minimum 20 goals a season in the Premier
Kane’s contract has two further years until 2024 to run, which is still not going to be an easy task in dealing with Levy in order to sign Kane. The rumoured fee as of now is north of £100 million, which seems excessive given the Englishman’s age, injury record and limited number of years left on his current deal.
But Levy knows he cannot be selling to a potential rival in Manchester United this summer, especially if they are to keep challenging for a Champions League position and more.
The Red Devils, in all honesty, are going to be desperately searching the market for a new centre forward that can all but guarantee goals at the top end of the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo might well stay a further year to see out his contract, but with Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial likely leaving, Manchester United need reinforcements as soon as possible.
This season has shown that Ronaldo cannot play twice a week all season, nor would it be productive to do so. He needs help and there are not many better out there than Kane, especially given his awe-inspiring record in the Premier League.
For Kane, once again, he has a decision to make whether to try force his exit out of Tottenham which will clearly displease the fans, or to keep quiet and see out the remainder of his contract. If he is fixated to win a trophy, it is the former that will need to be done.
