Ryoshi, the anonymous founder of Shiba Inu, has left after removing all his posts today. Mirroring Satoshi Nakamoto, the identity of Ryoshi has been hidden perfectly, with no one knowing what he looks like to date. This has been made possible by the hands-off approach that he and his team of developers have taken since the token was created in 2020.
According to several reports, other developers, especially Shytoshi Kusama, have told users that the project is still in good hands after the decision made by Ryoshi. In the latest statement, Kusama mentioned that the project was still working toward actualizing his dreams for the project. The project has also said that it would continue to intensify its efforts to make a massive community of decentralized meme coins.
Over the years, Ryoshi has always talked about how easily replaceable he and the others were. In a previous post from medium, Ryoshi mentioned that he was not crucial in the project while playing down the adverse effects of knowing who he was at the time. He noted that he does nothing other than sitting behind his computer and tap some buttons on his keyboard.
SHIB community divided over posts
Presently, Ryoshi still has a functioning Twitter, with the former SHIB boss sending out two final blog posts to say goodbye. However, details indicate that all tweets have been deleted on Twitter. However, social media users across different platforms have continued to play down recent events. While some are in awe over why Ryoshi would want to leave, others are saying the move looked like that of a criminal. However, some signs could be the case as the accounts have been deleted. The account talked about how the army could help push the project.
The other message talked about how everybody represents him. Despite the calls from investors, Kusama released a post extolling and saying his goodbyes to Ryoshi as he leaves the project. He talked about how his anonymity had no negative impact on the project. He also spoke about the various feats they achieved together, including changing how meme tokens are seen. However, the recent news has done nothing to the price of Shiba Inu, with the token trading at $0.0000118, just down 3.41% in the last 24 hours. The token is also up by 54% in the last year despite falling drastically from its all-time high of $0.000086.
