Router Protocol announces the addition of Optimism and Arbitrum to its platform

Router Protocol, an infrastructure layer that allows blockchains to communicate, has announced the addition of Optimism and Arbitrum to its platform.

In addition to Ethereum, Optimism, and Binance Smart Chain, the community may now transfer funds and swap assets between networks with the greatest TVL in cross-chain bridges (Fantom, Polygon, Avalanche C-chain, and Arbutrum).

Users have access to these enhanced features

These brand-new combinations give users access to enhanced interoperability features like:

Support for approximation tokens — most cross-chain systems are permissioned, allowing only the trading of specific properties. Router Protocol allows for approximate token swaps by mixing liquidity from all of the major DEXes on any given chain.

Swap any token for any other token across chains — most current services only handle transfers. Any crypto token swap on the network is supported by Router Protocol.

Settlement assurance – The Router Protocol ensures that user funds are not obstructed and that all transactions are settled by providing users with similar amounts of USDC or RUSDC (which can be redeemed 1:1 for USDC).

Mesh Network — rather than building 1:1 bridges that require dedicated links between chains, Router builds a many-to-many mesh network that allows for smooth information flow across chains. With a few lines of setup, any chain may be added.

Router Protocol places a high priority on security, having implemented a number of measures to keep its network safe and secure. Aside from a bug bounty program with the security platform Immunefi, the project has also completed security audits from Certik and Halborn, and is currently through a third examination.

Amazing security features

A modular smart contract architecture denotes various agreements for functions such as liquidity, charges, ballots, and so on, as opposed to the massive structures that are commonly used.

On-chain recognition — recognition takes place on-chain, which is safer and more secure than procedures that rely on off-chain agreements.

Deals are conducted out on a stateless execution pallet to avoid direct involvement with bridge reserves. The reserves are kept separate from the execution environment to prevent malicious entities from gaining access to the funds.

In the event of a contract vulnerability or flaw, a dedicated proxy architecture – Router Protocol – retains the option to upgrade the contract.

In other news, the Router Protocol group has published a governance proposal inviting the community to vote on which two EVM chains should be included next.

The governance event is a necessary step in the process of converting the Router Protocol into a community-governed activity.
