Popular XRP community blogger, Crypto Eri came up with the proof to prove her claim that Satoshi Nakamoto knew ‘Ripple’. In response, she also received support from Ripple CTO David Schwartz for her statement. The blogger said in a video that the pseudonym creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto knew about Ripple in 2009 itself.
Crypto Eri posted a Tweet on December 15th calling out the person calling him crazy while asking how the Bitcoin creator could know Ripple. She suggested researching ‘Ryan Fugger’ and ‘Ripplepay’ while sharing a screenshot from some papers.
In a Tweet, Ripple chief technology officer, David Schwartz supported the claim of crypto influencer. He agreed Ryan Fugger did not make any decentralized assets since he did not have such technology. Instead of an asset, he built a decentralized system that consisted of a number of interoperable centralized assets.
Back in 2004, Ryan Fugger created a decentralized payment system which was named RipplePay. However, After some time, he put Ripple’s concept in the hands of Jed McCalleb and Chris Larsen. Later, the duo ended up creating Ripple payment protocol in 2012.
Scwartz explained that despite having a decentralized platform, Fugger did not know how to create a decentralized asset. So he ended up building only a peer-to-peer system that leveraged the centralized assets with interoperability. Fugger himself confirmed this indirectly in 2016 while stating in a Tweet that initial Ripple had no XRP like decentralized crypto asset and the idea of creating one was not his.
Meanwhile the Ripple vs SEC lawsuit is also expected to witness its end soon. Attorney John Deaton recently expressed his views over the highly awaited conclusion of the case.
Deaton was attending an episode of Real Vision Crypto where he answered a question if the summary judgment is expected to be done by March end. In response, he said that he does not think that it might happen by the said timeline. Although the judge hearing the case is aware of the situations and she granted amici status as well.
His take on the result of the case is March end, but it could also stretch till April or even May too.
The attorney has played a crucial role during the case and also filed an amicus brief from the side of XRP supporters. It was against the motion for summary judgment of the agency.
