Meg Watson of the Sydney Morning Herald has some reservations in her “fresh” review summary on RT, but still lauds the series for returning to its roots, writing “While Resurrection doesn’t hit the highs of the original series, in the hands of original showrunner Clyde Phillips it does recapture the magic of what made it great.”

Bob Strauss of the San Francisco Chronicle also sings the praises of the showrunner in his “fresh” review summary on RT, writing, “[Clyde Phillips] still constructs tight, sick, suspenseful stories.
