Dine Into The Metaverse
As brands are constantly exploring metaverse sector, more restaurants are taking their steps ahead into the metaverse to create virtual spaces. HoneyBee Burger, a plant-based burger brand based in Los Angeles made an announcement that it will be joining forces with food metaverse OneRare to make virtual restaurants.
Bigger quick service restaurants have already stepped into the metaverse. For example, during late March, QSR mammoth Wendy’s declared that they are initiating digital location in Horizon Worlds by Meta, which involved both an eateries space and numerous other branded locations.
During February, as per a report, McDonald’s had submitted at least 10 trademarks for its name, McCafe, logo and rights to several attributes for a digital eatery. Concurrently, a news spreaded in the air that Panera Bread had filed a trademark application for a digital cafe chain dubbed Paneraverse.
Honeybee is not just a minor burger brand making its path into the cyberspace. February also witnessed news break that Lunchbox, digital ordering solutions provider had sold a digital restaurant on NFT marketplace to NYC-based, 35-location, whole-service burger chain bareburger.
The Booming Metaverse Space
It is not an ancient news that Snoop Dogg has created his virtual world in The Sandbox, titled SnoopVerse. This is one of the many examples of how metaverse sector is luring bigger names whom the crowd follows everywhere.
Experiences in the metaverse are similar to the tangible world, but they can get more immersive there, as we can add our imagination to it too.
Not just restaurants are entering into the metaverse, but other organizations such as sports mammoth Adidas, entertainment giant Disney, and several others are entering this space.
Recently, top tiered airlines service Emirates Airlines made an announcement to join the space by rolling out NFTs and metaverse experiences.
