Reforming The U.S. Department Of Defense Is A Must: Dangerous Problems Are Looming

America’s military is still the best in the world. But as this segment of What’s Ahead warns, dangerous problems loom.

Our capabilities are declining, while threats from China, Russia and Iran grow. 

One glaring and expensive challenge is a badly bloated, increasingly dysfunctional weapons development and procurement program that stands in the way of getting what we need in a fast-changing environment, such as defending our vulnerable satellites on which the military depends.

Managerial problems abound, especially with the Navy.
