PUBG Corp. To Utilize NFTs in User Generated Content Metaverse

Krafton in NFT “Battlegrounds”

Even after fresh announcements made by content generation companies, players all around the globe are opposing NFT projects strongly, PUBG corporation’s parent organization Krafton says that their developers are developing a platform for NFT metaverse.

Content generation company has joined forces with Naver Z, operator of Zepeto, a metaverse platform for NFTs, for development of a latest NFT and Web3 project focused on constructing NFT metaverse platform.

It is not sure that this project under development by Krafton will directly link to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Rather than that, content generation company will utilize the experience it has gathered in development and functionality of PUBG to develop a creation tool for UGC and digital worlds generated using Unreal Engine.

As per the statement, Naver Z will handle Metaverse facilities, and manage social and community facilities. 

This collaboration among Naver Z and Krafton is assisted by each organization’s distinct experience and shared vision for future pushed by metaverses and NFTs, said Krafton’s Web3 lead, HyungChul Park. 

By integrating persisting techs of Krafton and a study regarding building a scalable Web3.0 environments driven by creators with Zepeto’s and Naver Z abilities and expertise, they can confidently develop a higher quality free metaverse fueled by user generated content, that stands alone from other facilities, vitalizing international creator economy via NFT techs.

This may be good at initial stage, as not all are entirely aware of what metaverse holds, but Krafton’s threat is that it is avoiding the escalating backlash against NFTs associated with gaming.

Strategies to blend in NFTs directly into Stalker 2 were neglected its own plan regarding NFT in face of resistance of from its own studio and gamers.

It is possible that Krafton will not face similar opposition. If project is entirely particular and unique from PUBG. Gamers may be careless regarding content generation company’s NFT aspirations. But the probability of negative influence is always a threat: NFT space is still crawling with fraud and untrue claims.

Krafton is a gaming giant and his entry in the NFT and metaverse space. A few years back there were rumors of Krafton developing a new game, which will contain the biggest map and world in contrast to other games like Assassin’s Creed, Warzone etc.

If this development is regarding that universe, then it would create great hype among the Krafton community, and will be a massive contribution to upcoming Web3 and Metaverse development.
