The Pi Network team has introduced a critical update aimed at resolving a long-standing issue for many users.
A new button has been added to the KYC application interface that allows Pioneers to synchronize their KYC status with the Mining App if discrepancies exist between the two platforms.
This move addresses one of the most common complaints in the Pi community — mismatched KYC status that stalls migration or restricts mining rewards. The new feature, labeled “Synchronize Status on Mining App,” allows users who have successfully passed KYC but haven’t seen the update reflected in their mining dashboard to manually trigger the sync.
Meanwhile, concerns about migration delays continue to surface. A recent viral video captured Pi Network co-founders Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis and Dr. Chengdiao Fan dining at a restaurant, where they were approached by a Pi Pioneer reportedly showing her app and raising frustrations about stalled KYC or migration.
The interaction, shared widely on Chinese social media and reposted by community account Dr_Picoin, highlights persistent bottlenecks affecting millions of users still awaiting full onboarding to the Pi Mainnet.
While the new KYC sync function may alleviate part of the issue, broader transparency and faster resolution remain high on the community’s wishlist.
