VC Giant Welcomes Katie Biber To Its Team
Paradigm, the cryptocurrency Venture Capital firm has recently announced that it has appointed Katie Biber, as its new chief legal officer.
Biber comes from Brex, a financial technology company, and has also earlier served as General Counsel for the 2012 U.S. presidential campaign of Mitt Romney. And now she joins the VC Giant.
According to Biber who highlighted in an announcement blog, the promise of Web3 comes into great focus with each passing day. It’s no longer just a hunch, she is now confident that today’s builders will democratize finance, create a more equitable internet, and provide us with tools that facilitate humans’ exchange of goods, services, opinions, and information trustlessly.
She further talked about the recent bearish trends in the crypto industry, that the digital assets have recently been on a roller-coaster ride. But the ups and downs of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are just noise.
The new chief legal officer has earlier worked for the digital asset platform Anchorage and crypto research and development firm Protocol Labs. Biber serves on the Board of Directors (BOD) of both the companies.
Fred Ehrsam, Coinbase (COIN) co-founder, and Matt Huang, Sequoia Capital alum together founded Paradigm in the year 2018.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $29,612 with a market cap of $564,436,653,727 and is down by around 5% in the last twenty-four hours.
Whereas the second largest crypto asset Ethereum (ETH) is exchanging hands at $1,771 and with a market cap of $214,511,444,909 and is down by around 6% in the last twenty-four hours.
