Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Sour’ And ‘Guts’ Albums Climb Everywhere

It’s been a minute since Olivia Rodrigo dropped new music. The Grammy winner is currently in between album cycles, with no exciting singles or upcoming releases to promote. But unlike so many of her peers, Rodrigo doesn’t need to push new material to stay on the charts, especially in the United Kingdom. Both of her full-lengths are still popular sellers and streaming successes, and this week the two titles are on the rise.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Only Two Albums Are Still Charting

In just a few short years, Rodrigo has managed to accomplish what many artists spend decades chasing. She’s only released two albums under her own name — Sour and Guts — and both have become staples, as neither project faded after its initial promotional run. They’ve continued to sell and stream exceptionally well long after the promotional cycle ended.

This week, both Sour and Guts appear on four different tallies in the U.K., showing up on every major album ranking that tracks consumption, streaming, and pure sales. Not only are they still present, but in all four instances, they’re also rising. On half of those lists, the sets land inside the top 40.

Guts Leads the Way for Olivia Rodrigo

Of the two titles, Guts stands out as the higher-performing effort this frame, which isn’t entirely shocking, given that it’s the newer release. The sophomore full-length rockets to No. 25 on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming charts.

Even on the sales-only lists, where older material often drops off faster, Guts continues to hold its own. The set lifts to No. 46 on the Official Physical Albums chart and No. 47 on the Official Albums Sales ranking.

Sour Trails Just Behind Guts

Not far behind Guts is the project that started it all. Sour, Rodrigo’s debut, is also living comfortably inside the top 40 on a pair of rankings. It jumps to No. 26 on the Official Albums Streaming chart and improves to No. 28 on the Official Albums roster.

At the same time, the older title pulls off a significant leap on both purchase-based charts. Sour rises more than 20 spots on the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales rankings, pushing to Nos. 48 and 49, respectively.

Sour Has Stuck Around Longer

Even though Guts claims the higher peaks this frame, Sour is the winner when it comes to long-term success. The debut recently passed 200 weeks on both the Official Albums and the Official Albums Streaming charts. It’s also closing in on that same milestone on the two sales-based lists.

Guts, by comparison, is in a distant second place. So far, it has spent 83 frames on each of the four U.K. rankings it appears on this week, and, based on how high it currently sits, it will likely continue to add to that sum for months, and maybe years to come.
