OKX World Cup: what are the odds if you mint Spain NFTs?

With the group stages still in progress in the Qatar World cup, the chances of minting OKX World Cup NFTs are still open. You have until 12:00 Dec 3, 2022 (UTC+0), to mint up to three NFTs of your best team as stated in our earlier post about the tournament.

Why I’m picking Spain

I’m personally rooting for Spain because of the quality of football they have exhibited in the matches they have played so far; including their first match where they thrashed Costa Rica 7-0. I’m also a fan of Spanish football in general, so Spain is my go-to team in this tournament.

Spain currently sits at the top of Group E with 4 points with Japan and Costa Rica sitting close with 3 points each and Germany a distant fourth with one point. On Thursday, Spain goes head to head with Japan, while Costa Rica faces Germany. A win or a draw for Spain would automatically guarantee it a position in the Round of 16.

However, in case Spain loses in Thursday’s game, it will pray that Germany beats Costa Rica which would make Spain and Germany draw on Point although Spain would be ahead because of its goal difference. If in any case Spain loses and Costa Rica wins against Germany, then Spain will be kicked out of the World Cup competitions with Japan and Costa Rica proceeding.

Currently, Spain has one win and one draw. That means the Spain NFT prize pool in the OKX World Cup NFT competition currently has 30,000 USDT (20,000 USDT from the first match where Spain won and 10,000 USDT from the second game where Spain drew with Germany).

If it wins the next match the prize pool will be 50,000 USDT. You still have a chance of being part of those who will share the rewards of the next match as well as the other rewards in the Knockout stage, quarter-finals, Semifinals, and finals if Spain goes all through.
