Halloween has come and gone, and November is here. Why is 2025 going by so fast? It’s crazy. Maybe it’s because of all these puzzles keeping us so busy and diverted all the time. Maybe it’s just my fixation on the date, writing daily puzzle guides every single day of the year. Who knows? What I do know is I have some extra help for today’s NYT Strands puzzle, so if that’s what you’re looking for, scroll on down.

How To Play Strands
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.
Spoilers ahead.

Today’s Strands Breakdown
Not a very tough Strands today mostly because there were so few words. Sure, these are long words, but I found DELICIOUS almost instantly, followed closely by DELECTABLE. I found the spangram, GOODTASTE, next and at this point I only had two words left and knew exactly where each of them was. Soon enough, I had FLAVORFUL and SCRUMPTIOUS in the bag. I didn’t need any of the built-in hints (though they’re not really hints, they just show you where the word is) which is always a plus.
