Former The Good Place star Kristen Bell is returning to the sitcom genre, this time in the just announced (and still untitled) Netflix comedy from Erin Foster. The upcoming series will center on “the unlikely relationship between an irreverent, outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi.” Bell will portray the agnostic woman.
The executive producers are Erin Foster, Steven Levitan (Just Shoot Me), Craig DiGregorio, Kristen Bell, Sara Foster and Danielle Stokdyk. Oly Obst and Josh Lieberman are executive producers for 3arts. The series is produced by 20th Television in association with Steven Levitan Productions.
Kristen Bell’s first major TV role, of course, was the title character in the teen-themed drama Veronica Mars. Additionally, Bell had regularly scheduled series roles in the superhero drama Heroes, comedy House of Lies, and the aforementioned The Good Place, which concluded in 2020. She was also the narrator on the original Gossip Girl. And Bell headlined the dark comedy streaming series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window.
The number of episodes ordered by Netflix has not been confirmed, nor has the potential start date.
