NBA 2K25 is scheduled for official release next month

NBA 2K25 is scheduled for pre-orders on September 4, and the official release will occur on September 6. After its release, the game will be available for players on various gaming devices, such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch.

NBA 2K25’s FIBA Olympic teams will also return to the roster, giving fans more playable characters to interact with in the new edition. The women’s NBA has also witnessed increased traction as a result of Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark’s contributions.

FIBA teams were among the most requested implementations for NBA 2K25 by players. The introduction of FIBA teams into numerous game modes aligned with the USA’s national basketball team winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. The Olympic tournament featured more NBA players from other countries than in any previous year.

Notably, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo featured in three of the top four Most Valuable Player voting slots in the NBA this past season. Surprisingly, all of them came from countries outside the United States.
