The Modern Warfare Remastered mod H2M team has declared closure after being sent a cease-and-desist letter from Activision. The letter comes amid the launch of Modern Warfare 2. Watchful Wolf, creator and founder of H2 Multiplayer, affirmed that the cease-and-desist letter was sent to prevent the sales of the upcoming game Black Ops 6.
The H2 multiplayer mod team stated on X that they received a cease and desist order from Activision Publishing. The cease and desist order forced the team to shut down operations permanently for the Modern Warfare 2 game. According to the team, the Modern Warfare Remastered Mod H2M sought to revive the 2009 MW2.
The letter came amid the release of H2M’s August 16th release date that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Watchful Wolf. The trailer contains images and audiovisual content suggesting the game’s actual features. The trailer features visuals for maps, weapons, and characters. H2M’s last statement confirmed that they are complying with the order and shutting down all operations permanently with immediate effect.

We are begging that you guys reconsider this decision @Activision. To be clear we have zero involvement in this project outside of being massive fans.
