Morgan Wallen breaks his own record by landing 37 songs on the Hot 100, thanks to I’m the Problem … More
Morgan Wallen is in control of many of Billboard’s rankings this week, thanks to his gargantuan new album I’m the Problem. The full-length opens atop multiple lists, and the dozens of songs that make up its tracklist have also proved to be huge wins.
The country superstar breaks an all-time record on the Hot 100 as his latest compositions arrive. While some predicted he would manage to claim this bit of history, the manner in which he does so is a bit surprising.
Morgan Wallen Breaks a Hot 100 Record
Wallen fills 37 spots on the Hot 100 this frame. That means he claims more than one-third of all the real estate on the most competitive songs ranking in America. He breaks his own record for the most simultaneous hits on the tally, upping that best showing from 36 — established when One Thing at a Time and its many tunes debuted — to 37.
How He Made History
Coincidentally, I’m the Problem features 37 songs. It would seem to reason, then, that every track from the project neatly appears on the Hot 100, as the numbers match up perfectly. But that’s not what happened.
This week, 36 tunes from I’m the Problem make space on the Hot 100. Also present on the ranking is “I Had Some Help,” Wallen’s collaboration with Post Malone. That single fronted Malone’s first country full-length F-1 Trillion, which arrived a little under a year ago.
“I Had Some Help” has remained a powerful smash ever since it opened at No. 1. This week, as it celebrates its fifty-fourth stay on the tally, it only drops a few spots, dipping from No. 13 to No. 19.
“Lies Lies Lies” is Missing from the Hot 100
Only one song from I’m the Problem is missing from the Hot 100. “Lies Lies Lies” is notably absent, but it’s already enjoyed its time to shine. That track served as the lead single from I’m the Problem and was released last July. It peaked at No. 7 on the Hot 100 and spent months on the list.
Morgan Wallen’s Track Record on the Hot 100
Wallen now claims the records for the first- and second-most entries on the Hot 100 at one time. He also holds the record for the sixth-most Hot 100 smashes in a single frame, as on March 25, 2023, he filled 29 spaces. The previous period, One Thing at a Time infiltrated the chart with 36 smashes, and only a handful of them fell away after a few days.
