Miley Cyrus’ New Single Reminds Fans How Much They Love Her Career-Defining Hit

Right now, all eyes and ears are on Miley Cyrus’ latest single. The singer-songwriter is back with a brand new tune, and while “End of the World” is grabbing headlines as it kicks off her Something Beautiful era, it’s not the only composition from her discography that people are listening to right now. While she may be focused on what’s next, one of the pop star’s most famous tracks is growing in popularity again, buoyed by the exciting new release.

Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” Grows Once Again

As “End of the World” makes its less-than-grand debut in the U.K., “Flowers” by Cyrus is growing again. The former chart-topper is currently on the rise on not one, but two purchase-only tallies in Britain. This frame, “Flowers” jumps six spaces to No. 70 on the Official Singles Downloads chart. At the same time, it leaps by double digits on the Official Singles Sales list, soaring to No. 72.

“End of the World” is a Fast Top 10 Hit

Cyrus now claims not one, but two spots on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. Her brand new track “End of the World” earns a lofty start on both rosters, opening at No. 8 on each. With her latest win, the Grammy winner has now snagged 10 top 10 hits on the overall sales ranking, and 14 on the downloads-only list.

“End of the World” Debuts on Multiple Charts

Beyond the sales tallies, “End of the World” also opens on a pair of consumption-focused charts in the U.K. — though it doesn’t begin quite as high on either of them. The Something Beautiful track arrives at No. 23 on the Official Singles chart, the country’s definitive ranking of the most-consumed songs each week.

On the Official Streaming chart, the song fails to crack even the top half, beginning its run at No. 56. That’s not a stellar debut, but it’s far from a flop either — and with an album on the way and more promotion likely, it’s possible that this is just the beginning for Cyrus’ new era.

“Flowers” was first released in early 2023 and quickly became one of the biggest hits of Cyrus’ career, spending multiple weeks at No. 1 in dozens of markets around the world. It fronted her most recent full-length Endless Summer Vacation, which earned critical acclaim and was a solid commercial success. The fact that it’s still charting more than two years later – which doesn’t seem likely for “End of the World” based on this early performance – speaks to its incredibly popularity.
