Luxshare Chairman Wang Laichun Leads New Forbes China List Of Top 100 Businesswomen

Forbes China, the licensed Chinese-language edition of Forbes, is out with its latest ranking of China’s 100 most successful businesswomen, and the billionaire chairman of one of the country’s suppliers to Apple leads the way.

Wang Laichun is the co-founder and chairman of Luxshare Precision, a supplier of cable assemblies and connectors for consumer electronics and other industries. The Dongguan-based entrepreneur moved up from number four a year ago to the top spot, and holds an estimated fortune worth $7.3 billion on the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires List today. Wang is also known as Grace Wang.

Leaders from listed companies, unicorns and multinationals are among the 100 members of the annual ranking. The list takes into account financial performance, market capitalization and influence, among other factors.

Rounding out the top five are: Dong Mingzhu, president of Gree Electrical Appliances; Zhao Ning, director at pharmaceutical supplier WuXi AppTec; Meng Wenzhou, vice chairman of telecommunications hardware maker Huawei Technologies; and Zhang Ning, CEO of Douyin – the domestic Chinese version of TikTok owned by ByteDance.

Other mainland China suppliers to Apple include BOE Technology, BYD and GoerTek.
