Love Is Blind’s Trainwreck Reunion Rockets To #1 In Netflix’s Top 10

Thought Love is Blind mania was over? Wrong. The show is back on top of Netflix in the US in the #1 spot, as millions of viewers tuned in to see just one more episode, the new reunion that has all the couples meet up again in person so we can see who is still together and who split. Among other craziness.

I didn’t think the reunion would be enough to propel Love is Blind back up again, which we haven’t seen since last week’s finale, but it’s kind of making the case for Netflix doing more weekly shows, as now we’ve been talking about Love is Blind for an entire month, which has not been the case with a dozen other shows that have come and gone since then. Love is Blind, like The Circle and other reality shows, are Netflix’s exception to its binge rule, as the “competition” nature demands the shows be spaced out to some degree so as to not ruin the finale. You could make the same argument with scripted shows, but I digress.

It also helps that the reunion was an utter trainwreck, which included host Vanessa Lachay lambasting Shake for his constant mistreatment of Deepti, and Shake saying that the only person he was attracted to on stage was Lachay herself, as her husband Nick Lachay is right there. If there was a singular villain of the entire season, it was definitely Shake, and that was fully on display in the reunion finale.

As for who is still together and who is broken up?

• Iyanna and Jarrette – Still married, seems to be going well.
• Danielle and Nick – Still married, going to couples counseling to work through things.
• Shane and Natalie – Broken up, tried to make it work after Natalie rejected him at the altar, but couldn’t do it.
• Deepti and Shake – Very much broken up and Deepti revealed that Jarrette pulled her aside and told her that Shake was talking badly about her behind her back, and that she shouldn’t marry him. Cue Shake being roasted for most of the reunion.
• Sal and Mallory – Broken up, and when they did try to meet up to try to start dating “normally” after the show, just didn’t have the same connection as in the pods.
• Kyle and Shaina – Broken up, and Shaina denies rumors that she tried to pursue a relationship with Shane after the show when he and Natalie split up. She says she should have said no to Kyle in the first place and they should have never gotten engaged.

Got all that? Well, season 3 is already filmed, so forget all these guys and we’ll see what the next batch of craziness brings.
